The Benefits of a VPG member

Membership of the VPG is rewarding in a number of ways, but it’s also what a member chooses to make of it. At its most basic level, members of the VPG receive the following benefits:
A weekly technical bulletin emailed to your Inbox;
Monthly Chapter meetings with fellow professionals;
Access to minutes of other Chapters;
Discount on conference rates, including the VPG’s annual Conference;
Access to a wide range of networking activities, including the annual President’s Reception and Lecture.
The opportunity to influence VAT policy through the VPG’s membership of bodies such as the JVCC and Land & Property Liaison Group;
In addition to the above members are positively encouraged to become involved in other aspects of the VPG. A good example is the National Technical Committee, which meets quarterly to discuss developments in VAT. Membership of this committee enables members to take a pro-active role in the development of VAT by engaging directly with, for example, HM Revenue & Customs.
In addition to the above, any member of the VPG is entitled to stand for election to one of the National Officer posts. Accordingly, any member is able not only to take an active role in the affairs of the VPG but also the strategic direction of the VPG.
